The Premier League and Championship are set to resume on June 19th but the financial losses from all teams will take years to resolve and that could lead to a lot of young talent potentially being offered for sale by smaller clubs looking to recoup money lost.
One young talent that is on a Manchester United shortlist is Birmingham City’s young superstar Jude Bellingham and according to ESPN, Birmingham insiders accept they will have to sell Bellingham as they look to ease their financial worries but are insisting on more upfront cash to sign him.
United have been willing to offer a structured deal made up of a smaller down payment and a series of bonus linked to future success in both the Premier League and Champions League, but more cash is king.
The 16-year old has been courted by United for months, including a tour of the Carrington training facility with legend Sir Alex Ferguson and rumors suggest United have promised Bellingham a first-team role if he was to join over the summer.
Bellingham has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen.
