Manchester United have signed a player for the future, 16yr old Joe Hugill from Sunderland.
According to MEN, the move is rumored to be around £300,000 and United have beaten Tottenham, Arsenal, Wolves, and Leeds. German clubs also expressed interest in Hugill, although he did not receive an offer from any Bundesliga clubs.
The striker scored a hat-trick for Sunderland in the FA Youth Cup and Hugill netted a brace on his Under-23 debut. Sunderland considered him as one of their most promising young players.
Hugill was promoted to Sunderland’s U23 side after showing great form and goal-scoring prowess this season.
Once signed, Hugill with join United’s academy system to further his development.
