According to a report from ESPN, Manchester United are set to reject any and all bids this summer for goalkeeper Dean Henderson, and will only accept loan offers for the goalkeeper as they “continue to draw up a plan for his long-term future.”
The England U21 international has a contract at Old Trafford until 2022, but United are considering offering him fresh terms as more fans want Henderson back and fighting with incumbent keeper David de Gea for the number one jersey.
United view the England keeper as a viable replacement for de Gea but want him to further his development while gaining more valuable top-flight experience first.
Current Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is a huge fan of on-loan Henderson and with Sheffield firmly planted in the top 10 of the Premier League and fighting for a European spot, this is great news for the Blades.
Henderson has been in great form this season with 11 clean sheets through 30 matches, conceding only 24 goals compared to de Gea who has 10 cleans sheets, 33 goals conceded through 32 matches.
