Manchester United tentatively set April 10th as a return to training but in wake of the recent Premier League announcement, all training activities have been suspended until further notice.
The Premier League said in a statement last week: “It was acknowledged that the Premier League will not resume at the beginning of May – and that the 2019/20 season will only return when it is safe and appropriate to do so.
“The restart date is under constant review with all stakeholders, as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic develops and we work together through this very challenging time.”
In preparation for a long break from training, Manchester United coaches issued players with individual programs to maintain fitness.
“The club has been very supportive and provided plans for training, nutrition and what not to oversee this period. And we do have group chats, FaceTimes, videos of us training and we have our own Instagram page that we follow to sustain and keep up to date with what’s going on with the new training.” Axel Tuanzebe told the MEN.
Last week Premier League and EFL officials met and decided to suspend the season indefinitely after targeting a possible return of April 30th initially.
